Saloma Baptist enjoys day of revival and renewal By Senior Pastor John Chowning Saloma Baptist Church Let me thank everyone who participated in, prayed for, and helped with today's day of revival and renewal at Saloma Baptist Church. We had a wonderful worship service this morning. Bro. Christian Naylor delivered a powerful message on revival and renewal using Psalm 51:10-12 as his text and pointed out the importance of God's people to seek ongoing renewal and revival in the Lord. There were several who came forward for prayer and rededication. And then we finished the service with a time of prayer and dedication at the altar to show the unity of the body of Christ. Our own Gabrielle Pyles, Christian's fiancee, did a wonderful job leading the worship service, as always. And a CU Church music team led us in a time of musical praise and worship that was very spirit-filled. Following the service, we enjoyed a wonderful meal around the table - thanks to the wonderful cooks of Saloma Baptist Church - these ladies and gentlemen work tirelessly in preparing food and serving the food in the fellowship hall - our Fellowship Team members do a wonderful job in ministering to others. The fellowship around the table was also very sweet and blessed. It has been a very good day among God's people at Saloma Baptist Church and for the several visitors that we had in the service today. May we move forward as revived and renewed people in His Spirit and go forth into our community and world as we minister to others in His name. Next Sunday is Palm Sunday as well as the Sunday when we will observe the Lord's Supper. Then on Sunday afternoon, April 14, 2019 we will have an Easter Egg hunt at 5pmET at the church with a time of fellowship. We invite all ages to come and enjoy this. Invite others in the community to join us. This is always a fun time for the children as well as the young at heart. We will have a Holy Week Prayer Service on Wednesday evening, April 17, 2019 at 6pmET. We will sing some hymns that are appropriate for Holy Week, have a time of prayer, and have devotional thoughts on the events of Holy Week. Invite others to join us.
