ACSO: Injury collision Friday on KY55N By Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office On Friday, March 8, 2019, at 11:40amCT, the Adair County Sheriff's Office received a dispatch from Adair County 911 about a reported collision with injuries on KY 55 North. Deputy Brandon Hitch found that Unit 2, a 1995 Ford F-150 operated by John Smith, 37, of Columbia, KY, was experiencing some vehicle problems and was moving over to the southbound shoulder of the highway, when Unit 1, operated by Natalie Bryant, 23, who was also traveling south in a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, failed to slow down and was unable to negotiate around Unit 2, striking Unit 2 in the rear. The operator of Unit 1, Bryant, was taken to TJ Health by Adair County EMS, and later transferred to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. The operator of Unit 2, John Smith, along with his passengers, Sarah Smith and Christopher Keith, were transported to TJ Health by Adair County EMS, where they were treated and released. The Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by Columbia Police Department and Adair County EMS. This story was posted on 2019-03-11 08:35:38
