March is Order of DeMolay Month in City of Columbia

The Order of DeMolay, a character building organization which has carried out its goals for 100 years through programs of athletic competition, social activity, civic service and charitable projects, is celebrating its centennial year.

Locally, the Valley of the Cumberland chapter of the order of DeMolay will observe 2019 as its ninth anniversary as a chapter. Under the membership of adults, young men are taught to prepare themselves to become better citizens and leaders for tomorrow through the use of a variety of self directed, real world applications and activities.

Mayor Pam Hoots signed the proclamation making March DeMolay Month in Columbia, with Curtis Grant, Paul Smith, Lashley Davenport, Mason Grant, Skylar Hare, and Joe Flowers.
