Prayers requested by FM2 bread man Paul Sullivan

By Linda Waggener

Paul Sullivan, the popular "bread man" at Columbia's Farmers Market on the Square has asked for prayers for him and everyone in Cumberland County who are victims of continuing flooding due to Wolf Creek Dam releasing historical levels of water from Lake Cumberland.

He is sending photos which will be posted that show his place completely surrounded by muddy waters from the Cumberland River backing up into his Goose Creek location.

Paul wrote, "I have already been trapped for two weeks and am being told I could be trapped this way for three to four more weeks. We are in a mess here in Burkesville."

He said he is safe so long as the waters don't get any higher - Cumberland County EMS delivered him medicines and groceries yesterday. He said, "they were a Godsend."

Please pray for him and all our neighbors in next door Cumberland County - even the ones who are not in the direct flood path are worried.
