Forage production meeting will be 4 Mar 2019 at Extension Office By Nick Roy The winter of 2018-19 has been brutal to many pastures and hay inventories. Many livestock producers are looking to repair pastures and replenish hay inventory for 2019. To assist in providing resources and ideas to improve forage production in 2019, a forage production meeting will be held on March 4, 2019 at 6:30pmCT at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service. Topics will include: spring planted annual forages options, summer annual forages crops options, and perennial forage options. Several specific forages species will be discussed including their yields, cost of establishment, and limitations.
