David Shoaf, 72, Casey County, KY (1947-2019) He was a sewing machine and automobile mechanic. He enjoyed fishing. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. His wife, Rosemary Wilson Shoaf, survives. David Shoaf, of Liberty, KY passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was 72. The funeral service will be held at 12noonCT/1pmET on Monday, February 25, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8pmCT/6-9pmET on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the funeral home. Born on January 11, 1947, in Boyle County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Joseph and Bessie Byrd Shoaf. David was a sewing machine and automobile mechanic. He enjoyed fishing. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. David is survived by his spouse, Rosemary Wilson Shoaf, who he married on August 5, 1964; a daughter, Regina (and Tim) Hines of Liberty; a son, Larry (and special friend, Tracy Grider) Shoaf of Liberty; a sister, Kathy Shoaf of Liberty; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Roseann Carman; and two siblings. McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY is in charge of arrangements.
