Poll workers and alternates needed for 2019 By Victoria Pike If you would like to work as a poll worker, please contact us by calling the Adair County Clerk's office 270-384-2801 or Victoria Pike, member of Adair County Board of Elections 270-634-2604. Each party and their executive committees are to find poll workers for this year's May primary and November general election. A list must be completed by each party by March 20, 2019 to send to the state board of elections for their approval. Changes can be made after this but if you think you could help us, please volunteer either as an alternate or poll worker. If you would like to work, please contact us. We have a training class for all poll workers about a week before the election. Pay for the day is $100 which included $20 for attending election school. School is usually around 4:30pmCT on Thursday a week or two before election. Hours on election days are from around 5:15amCT to around 7pmCT after polls close and you return info to the annex. Thank you for considering working. --Victoria This story was posted on 2019-02-22 06:19:23
