Letter: In support of Marsy's Law

Ann Pearson writes:
Funny how these attorneys are so concerned about the criminals and their rights. Did victims get to call their family and say goodbye, have a last meal together, call their priest/minister, get an appeal or have someone represent them before they were murdered/raped, etc...

I think it's time we think more about the victims and their families and their rights than those who ignore the law and commit such acts. Our justice system has become a joke; murder someone and it's all about you, your rights, your needs; can't be made to work, just sit on death row for decades and all the while victims families see no justice; many die before it's carried out. It doesn't seem much like justice to me! --Ann
