Sylba Whittle, 90, Russell County, KY (1928-2019) She was a homemaker and a member of Coffey's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arlus Edward "Johnny" Whittle; sisters Ester Wilson and Maxcile Widmer; and a brother, Estus Harris. Sylba Whittle, age 90, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home. Funeral service for Sylba Whittle will be 1pmCT Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger Garner officiating. Visitation from 5-8pmCT Saturday and after 8am Sunday until funeral time. Burial will follow in the Coffey's Chapel Cemetery. Special music will be by Ryan Stephens. Pallbearers - Ronnie Whittle, John David Hale, Kim Johnson, Joey Holt, Charlie Malloy, and Steve McBeath. She was born September 21, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Novalo & Nona Norman Harris. She was a homemaker and a member of Coffey's Chapel United Methodist Church. In additon to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlus Edward "Johnny" Whittle; 2 sisters, Ester Wilson, Maxcile Widmer; a brother, Estus Harris.
