CU discussion: The conservative case against capital punishment Hannah Cox, the National Manager of Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty, will be the main speaker during a QEP Forum at Campbellsville University. The forum will take place from 6pmET to 7:30pmET on Monday, January 28th in the Badgett Academic Support Center Banquet Hall, 110 University Dr., Campbellsville, KY. Ms. Cox will be discussing the conservative case against capital punishment. "I am one of an increasing number of conservative Christians who have changed our views on the death penalty because we want to be consistent in our ethic of life - that life is precious from its beginning to its natural end," Cox said. "We also have come to realize that the lives of many innocent people have been put at risk by the death penalty." Since 1973, more than 160 people have been freed from death rows in America due to their wrongful convictions, including one person sentenced to death in Kentucky. Cox will also share her views on why the death penalty violates the conservative principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility. This story was posted on 2019-01-22 14:29:12
