John R. McVay, 75, Campbellsville, KY (1943-2019) John was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He enjoyed pitching horse shoes and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids. John R. McVay of Campbellsville, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019. He was 75 years old. The funeral service will be held at 11amET on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, with Rev. Robert Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. John R. McVay of Campbellsville, son of the late Russell McVay and Velma Katherine Russell McVay, was born March 19, 1943 in Taylor County. He died at 8:25 P.M., Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Campbellsville. He was 75 years old. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. John was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He enjoyed pitching horse shoes and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids. He united in marriage to Helen Cox August 4, 1961. Besides his wife, Helen McVay, he is survived by one son and two daughters: John McVay and wife, Kim, Lisa Cave and husband, Kevin and Debbie Tungate and husband, Martin; four grandchildren: Wade Cave, Lydia Cave, Brayden McVay and Brianna McVay; two brothers: Tommy McVay and wife, Margaret and Randy McVay and wife, Mary, all of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
