Bobby Dean Lawson, 73, Cumberland Co. native (1945-2019)

He retired from Scotty's Contracting and Stone after 34 years of service. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Cumberland County.

Bobby Dean Lawson, age 73, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 05, 2019 at his home.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 1pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Rev. Bobby Bowe officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family requests visitation on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 11amCT until the service time at 1pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.

Bobby Dean was born on June 29, 1945 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Royce Cleveland and Thelma Mae Duvall Lawson.

He retired from Scotty's Contracting and Stone after 34 years of service. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Cumberland County.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Prude(James) Allen.

Survivors Include:
  • One Brother- Dennis Wade Lawson and wife Margaret of Bowling Green, KY

  • One Sister- Thelma Jean Lawson of Bowling Green, KY

  • Best Friend and longtime companion- Donna K. Mefford of Bowling Green, KY

  • Special nieces- Sherry Allen, Elizabeth Ann Strode(James) and Elaine Gooch(Thomas)

  • Special nephews- Ron Patterson,(Angie), Michael Allen(Diane), James N. Allen(Sandra), William Allen(Tonya) and Jason Lawson(Jamie)

  • Special Cousins- Allen Duvall, Margie J. Duvall, Becky Duvall, and David Turner

  • A host of other relatives and friends
