Adair County Library Has Large Video, Audio Sections - Free

This article first appeared in issue 15, and was written by Lee Ann Jessie, Director, Adair County Library.

Did you know that the Adair County Public Library has over 500 videos for checkout? Did you know that this is a free service? Well, now you do.

The Adair County Public Library has a wide variety of children's and adult videos (PG, PG-12, and a few R) for checkout. Videos can be checked out overnight at no charge. At this time, the library limits videos to two per family. If the videos are overdue, there is a $2.00 late charge per video per day.

The library has a large selection of Disney videos, Shirley Temple videos and Barney videos, and several learning videos.

Some of the new adult titles are Jerry Maguire, Tin Cup, Sister Act II, A River Runs Through It, and Braveheart. This section also contains series videos such as North and South Book 1 and Book 2, Return to Lonesome Dove, and Gettysburg.

Another growing collection at the library is audiotapes. At this time, the library has over 60 titles. Part of these titles rotate from county-to-county in the Lake Cumberland Region. Audios are great if you are planning to drive long distances or if you would like something else to listen to besides music.

Come by and see what's available for you and your family!
