Kentucky Color: It appeared in my yard one day

By Billy Joe Fudge

It appeared in my yard one day;
Had absolutely nothing to say.
Escaped from the zoo, maybe;
Or a newly hatched Platypus baby?

It appeared in my yard one day;
Had absolutely nothing to say.
A monster from underground;
Who came up to look around?

It appeared in my yard one day;
Had absolutely nothing to say.
An ET hiding in the grass;
Waiting for an earthling to pass?

It appeared in my yard one day;
Had absolutely nothing to say.
A Chernobyl radiated freak;
Or a meal for the cat to eat?
