Soldier dad surprises son with special gift

Oak Grove's Holiday Walking Trail Parade had to be moved inside Valor Hall Saturday night over concerns it might get a little wet. The miniature parade would be turned into a different kind of event. The floats would still be there (if idle), but there would be refreshments and a face painters.

Santa also waited on a dais to talk to any child who wanted to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. It ended up not mattering, as Valor Hall still got wet. Only it wasn't the rain causing the waterworks.
