Jim Claypool Art and Essay Contest Winners

The Adair County Conservation District sponsors the Jim Claypool Art and Essay Contest in Adair County every year. This year the county winners were as follows:

ACES Art Winners:
  • 1st Place- Kolt King
  • 2nd Place- Lainey Duncun
  • 3rd Place- Brandon Curry

ACMS Essay Winners:
  • 1st Place- Mason Caldwell
  • 2nd Place- Blane Bardin
  • 3rd Place- Trayton Stargel


The contests educate students on soil, water, forestry and wildlife conservation. Students take the knowledge they have gained and transform it into creative art work and essays. Students can earn monetary prizes on the county, regional and state levels, as well as recognition each year by conservation districts around the state.
