Christmas in Columbia organizers say thanks for understanding

By Ellen Zornes, Executive Director,
Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce

On behalf of the Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce Christmas in Columbia Parade Committee, I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding about our agonizing decision to postpone the parade until Saturday, December 15, 6pmCT. That date was chosen due to other commitments for December 8 by too many people necessary to the parade.

We realize that there may be some parade participants that will not be able to participate on the 15, for that we are truly sorry. And there may be others who will now be able to participate that day that couldn't on the original date.

The rest of Christmas in Columbia went very well with activities booming as well as local businesses being steadily busy all day with shoppers shopping and also registering for our Shop Local, nine $100 give-aways, at the beginning of 'To the Nines' Friday, December 14, 2018.

Thanks again for understanding and we are hoping for wonderful weather for our Christmas Parade, Saturday, December 15!
