Ronald Gene Lawson, 57, Cumberland County, KY (1961-2018)

Ronald Gene Lawson of Burkesville, KY passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 57 years, 5 months, and 14 days.

The Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 12noonCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville. Burial will be in the Lawson Family Cemetery located in Lawson Bottom in Cumberland County, KY. The family will receive friends after 10amCT on Saturday, December 1, 2018, until the funeral hour.



He was born in Burkesville, KY on Saturday, June 10, 1961, the son of James Robert Cary and Clara Kimbel Lawson. He was of Holiness faith, a U.S. Army Veteran and a Factory Worker for Akebono.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Lee Lawson, and a sister, June Alice Lawson.

He is survived by
  • His sisters - Angie (and Dr. Leon) Link of Bowling Green, KY; Rhonda (and Raymond) Nobles; Robin Fall, Shannon Dudley and Wendy Ward, all of Louisville, KY
  • His brother - Ritchie Dean Lawson, Sr. of Burkesville
  • A special friend - Hazel Graves of Tompkinsville, KY
Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
