Mr. Jay leaves today to help decorate the White House Metcalfe County kindergarten teacher Jay White was chosen to help decorate the White House for Christmas By Linda Waggener Writer Carol Perkins shares a radio show in Metcalfe County with longtime friend and fellow retired teacher Susan Chambers and on their most recent show, Carol and Susan unscripted, they announced with pride that a Metcalfe County Elementary School teacher has been selected to go help decorate the White House for Christmas! Kindergarten teacher Jay White won the opportunity to go to the nation's capitol and help decorate the White House for Christmas over thousands of applicants. "Mr. Jay" as he's called by his students, leaves Kentucky today, Thanksgiving Day 2018, starting his journey. The show's DJs promise he will appear soon on their show to talk about the experience, and no doubt Carol will be sharing an article about him as well. This story was posted on 2018-11-23 05:12:29
