J. R. Streeval, 76, of Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11amCT on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ralph Foster and Bro. Tony Streeval officiating. Burial will be in the Bearwallow Cemetery

Visitation will be after 3:30pmCT on Friday, November 16, 2018, at the funeral home.

Born on January 23, 1942, in Columbia, KY, he was the son of the late John Edward Streeval and Versie Foster Streeval

He was employed by Warner Fertilizer in Columbia, KY for 46 years, retiring in June of 2018. He was a member of the Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church.

Survivors include
  • His mother, Versie Foster Streeval of Columbia
  • Two sons, Jeff Streeval (Dorinda) of Columbia, Jerry Streeval (Romaine) of Somerset, KY Karen Streeval, Sandra Taylor, Amanda Hand all of Columbia, KY
  • A special friend, Janet Foster of Columbia
  • Two brothers, Charlie (Ruth Ann) Streeval and Edward Streeval
  • Five sisters, Joyce (Alvin) Denton, Darlene (Lindon) Wray, Loretta (Billy) Turner, Connie (Paul) Reynolds, and Annetta (Eddie) Burton, all of Columbia
  • Sixteen grandchildren
  • Twenty-four great-grandchildren
  • One great-great-grandchild
  • Several nieces and nephews
  • A host of friends
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Willis Streeval, on August 21, 1992, and by one daughter, Linda Parker, in 2015.
