CIS Board of Education members re-elected

Three of the five Campbellsville Independent Schools Board of Education members have been re-elected to serve four more years.

Board members Angie Johnson, Mitch Overstreet and Suzanne Wilson, who currently serves as vice chair, were re-elected to their seats on Tuesday, Nov. 6. The three were the only candidates written on the ballot for three open seats.



The new terms begin in January, and will expire in 2022.

Johnson received 1,422 votes. She was first elected to serve in 1999.

Overstreet received 1,376 votes. He was first elected to a seat on the Board in 2006.

And Wilson received 1,296 votes. She was first elected in 2007.

Pat Hall, who serves as Board chair, and Board member Barkley Taylor are serving terms that will expire at the end of 2020.

Board of Education members meet the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m.

The next meeting will be Monday, Nov. 12, at the Campbellsville High School Media Center. All meetings are open to the public.
