LWC swimming teams host Bethel Wildcats Saturday By Benjamin Riegger The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's swimming team hosts Bethel (Tenn.) on Saturday November 10, at Holloway Center Natatorium in the Holloway Health & Wellness Center, 399 Williams St., Columbia, KY, at NoonCT on Saturday. Saturday's matchup marks the 8th meeting between the programs in a dual meet as LWC leads the overall series 7-0. The last matchup resulted in a 131-46 victory for the Blue Raiders. Blue Raider men's swimming (3-2) defeated Campbellsville (KY) 176-48 but fell to Union (KY) 129-111 on Saturday. The men's team achieved two A-cut and six B-cut standards. Clemens Paeztold led the way for the men recording two first place finishes and A-cuts in the 100 backstroke in 54.17, and 200 backstroke in 2:00.15. Saturday's matchup marks the 9th meeting between the programs in a dual meet, with LWC leading the overall series 8-0. The last matchup resulted in a 136-37 victory for the Blue Raiders last season. LWC women's swimming (4-1) defeated Campbellsville 161-70 and Union 197-41 on Saturday. The women's team achieved nine first place finishes with eight A-cut standards. Sloane Smith led the way for the Blue Raiders achieving two first place finishes and A-cuts in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.55) and 200 breaststroke (2:30.85).
