Elizabeth Hopper Emerson, 82, Liberty, KY (1936-2018) Elizabeth was a member of South Fork Separate Baptist Church. She loved cooking, quilting, sewing, gardening and working on the farm. Elizabeth Hopper Emerson, of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at her residence. She was 82 years old. The funeral service will be held at 11amET on Friday, November 9, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Troy Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Emerson will receive friends from 5pmET until 8pmET on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Born on September 25, 1936, in Casey County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Ruel and Maude Davenport Hopper. Elizabeth was a member of South Fork Separate Baptist Church. She loved cooking, quilting, sewing, gardening and working on the farm. She is survived by her husband, Killis Emerson, who she wed on September 6, 1952; two daughters, Wanda (Bill) Whited and Kathie (Donnie) Poff, both of Liberty; and a son, Russell (Peggi) Emerson of New Richmond, Ohio. Additional survivors include four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Eva Ruth Weir of Vincennes, Indiana. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Arvis Hopper. Arrangements are entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.mckinneybrown.com.
