Heart Of Adair Encourages Action Team Volunteers This article first appeared in issue 7, and was written by Linda Waggener. "If your home or business is in Adair County, Adair County is your business." Heart of Adair welcomes new committee volunteers. Anyone wishing to participate in the envisioning and work of downtown revitalization is encouraged to attend the monthly meetings and join in. Economic restructuring Committee works with the county industrial authority to encourage new businesses to locate downtown. Amy Waggener, chair, members Jean McLean, Bea Beard, Lloyd French, Rita Coomer and Sheila Taylor. This committee is also active in clean-up and environmental work in Adair County. Organization and Finance Committee, works as fund raisers and consensus builders, Ben Arnold Chairman of the Board, Linda Fitzpatrick, treasurer, and members Robert Flowers, Dan Antle and Mike Neal. Promotion Committee serves as media and events coordinators, Linda Waggener, chair, and members Guy Adams, George Kolben-schlag, Ed Waggener, Joe Moore, Donna Vaughn, and Elaine Bennett. Design Committee works to research and influence signage, building fronts, landscape, and displays. Charles Grimsley, chair, and members Vonnie Kolbenschlag, Sally Markle, Beverly England, Mike Loy, Mackie Jo Pennington, Jane Aaron, and Judy Somerville.
