Construction work continues on LBN and I65

Included in the expected traffic impacts in District 3 for November 5 through November 9 are the continued bridge maintenance along the LBN/Cumberland Parkway, and a major resurfacing project on I65. All work is subject to change.

Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway, in Barren and Metcalfe Counties: Work to continue on a bridge maintenance contract on various bridges along the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway. The work will consist of cleaning, painting and applying a concrete coating to 28 bridges along the parkway. Expect lane closures to be in place at various bridges along the parkway and on the routes that pass beneath.

Interstate 65: A major resurfacing project has started between mile marker 35 and mile marker 44 in both directions. The interstate will be down to lane in areas so motorists should use caution.The project is expected to be finished in late November.
