Blue Raider swimming teams defeat Life University Saturday

Marietta, GA - The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team defeats Life University (GA) 686-218 on the road Saturday night, and the men's swimming team defeated Life 496-436.

Both the Lindsey Wilson women's and men's swimming teams will be back in action against Union (KY) and Campbellsville University at home at 1pmCT on November 3 at Holloway Center Natatorium in the Holloway Health & Wellness Center, 399 Williams St., Columbia, KY.


The No. 4 women's Blue Raiders (2-1) notched a season-high 10 first place finishes, along with two A-cut qualifying times.

Jessica Macdonald continues to light up the score board, adding three more individual first place finishes in the 50 freestyle (25.32), 100 freestyle (54.30) and 200 freestyle (1:58.57).

Emma Fenwick notched two A-cuts in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.35), and 200 breaststroke (2:34.25).

Fenwick and Macdonald also helped chip in with teammates Bailey Seitz and Carlene Taylor to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:43.83.

No. 6 Blue Raider men's swimming (2-1) recorded eight first place finishes, along with an A-cut and B-cut qualifying times.

Clemens Paeztold notched three individual first place finishes in the 100 backstroke (56.43), 200 backstroke (203.86) and 500 freestyle (5:02.62).

Olek Olejnik received an A-cut standard in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.35. Pedro Terra gathered a first place finish in the 1000 freestyle with a time 10:10.53, in addition to a B-cut standard in the 100 freestyle in 49.86.

Bryce Rice notched his second individual win in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.93.

The men's relay of Terra, Rice, Paeztold and Olejnik placed first in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:29.80.
