Travel: Scenic Utah, Highway 128

2024-05-09 - near Moab, Utah - Photo by Robert Ellis, Robert Ellis Woodworking.
Robert writes, "On our recent trip to Utah, our planning included the scenic drive of Highway 128. This highway hugs the Colorado River much of the way, and takes you beside the Fisher Towers (center of the photo) on into Moab. We have been on this road in October 2022, and didn't explore the Fisher Towers on that trip. This time the itinerary would allow some time for some hiking and exploration.

Apparently, it has become a popular destination as it had new trail signage and overflow parking. The total hike was over 5 miles round trip, but...my ankle was giving me problems so we only hiked around 2 1/2 miles. It's a beautiful place with some out of this world geological formations. Highly recommended if you travel to the Moab area."
