Body discovered in March identified as Casey County man A body discovered near Green River Lake in March of this year has been identified as that of Dennis Davis of Casey County, KY. On March 28, 2023 the Taylor County Sheriff's Office and Taylor County Coroner's Office were dispatched to a wooded area near Green River Lake off of Smith Ridge Road, where a property owner had located human remains. Investigators located the completely skeletonized body of an individual in the woods. The remains were transported to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville for testing & DNA. Over the past several months we have been awaiting results from DNA confirmation. On Thursday, December 14, 2023 the Coroner confirmed that the remains were those of Dennis Davis of Casey County, KY.
