12th annual Coats for Kids Drive underway From Kisha Burton The Bonner Scholars Program is seeking donations to provide NEW winter coats for low-income, pre-school-age children and their siblings at Adair County Head Start. If you want to help with this rewarding project, you can either provide a monetary donation, or purchase one or more NEW child's size coats. Donating no later than Tuesday, November 21, 2023, will ensure that coats are delivered in time for colder weather. We like for each child to get their own unique coat, so we encourage you to purchase different styles if you get more than one! Spread the word and encourage others to donate. To see the sizes needed, please check our inventory sheet at docs.google.com. This will be updated periodically to reflect donations. A coat drop-off box is located inside the Career Services & Bonner Scholar House located on the A.P. White campus at 203 Lindsey Wilson Street, Columbia, KY. We ask that you fill out a gift-in-kind form when making your donation, located next to the drop-off box in the living room of our office. All checks can be made payable to LWC Bonner Scholars. Online donations can be made at www.lindsey.edu/giving by designating your gift to Bonner Scholars and denoting "Coats for Kids" in the comment box. For more information, contact Kisha Burton, Bonner Director, at burtonk@lindsey.edu. This story was posted on 2023-11-09 17:41:12
