Bus accident Sunday, one taken to hospital, all others safe By Adair County Superintendent Dr. Pamela Stephens April 23, 2023 - at 12:45 a.m. this morning an Adair County Schools bus was involved in an accident in the city limits of Columbia as they returned from a trip to Washington DC. The preliminary reports indicate a private vehicle crossed the center line and struck the bus in the front driver's side. 18 students and 5 adults were on the bus at the time and all were checked for injuries at the scene. One adult was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. All students were released to their parents. June Elaine Fields, 76, Metcalfe County, KY (1946-2023) June Elaine Fields, 76, of Edmonton passed April 19, 2023. Born September 6, 1946 to the late Belvidere Hubbard and Dorothy Romines Hubbard. She’s also preceded in death by her husband Dewey Fields, her infant daughter Vicki Fields, brothers Jimmy Hubbard, Eddie Hubbard and sister Ramona McCubbins. June was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, playing the piano and singing at church.
