Scenic Taylor County, KY: Fascinating faces along Wise Road

2017-01-28 - Wise Road, Taylor County, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com photo(c).
These faces immediately took us back to favorite readings in our house when there were two little boys at home. Never mind how many years ago that was. The brothers loved the adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh and friends Piglett, Tigger, Rabbit -- and Eeyore, the little donkey who always noted the other side of the situation, always found potential gloom in the face of the many things to be happy and bouncy about. The fellows pictured here didn't need to say a word, their expressions spoke, as Eeyore might have done if we'd stopped by the Hundred Acre Wood, reminding us that no matter how sunny the day was, to be careful, to travel safely, for you just never know. -- LW
