So, a prisoner is lodged in the jail for safekeeping until such time he/she can be brought before the proper authority. -Mike Watson

Writer prays for Michele's swift recovery

Linda Wilson Grigsby writes:
When my daughter, Melinda, was involved in a car accident on KY 206 about 22 years ago, Mark Hale was the first person to stop and give her help. Mark never forgot the kindness of others. Michele and Melinda also went to school together. I became acquainted with Michele when we both would be at La Loma eating. I hate to hear about Michele's illness, but will pray for her swift recovery. Good luck and keep the faith! Linda Grigsby

Remembers roses climbing to top of mulberry tree

Joyce M. Coomer writes:
I don't think I ever heard anyone call these roses by name even though there were several of them around the neighborhood, as well as pink ones. Momma's old fashion climbing red rose (what she and other ladies in the neighborhood called it) was a brighter red and it sure would climb - clear to the top of the mulberry tree by the front porch. The old fashion climbing red rose bloom was more in the shape of a carnation, about 1-2 inches across and in clusters of six or more blooms. - Joyce M. Coomer

Michele and Mark Hale home safe and sound

Mark Hale writes: In some ways it seems longer than only a day and a half but we are absolutely thrilled to be home safe and sound. Michele is doing wonderful and facebooking with some friends as I type this. I attended to her drains a few minutes ago they are doing fine. After washing up a bit she is tired and a little sore so she is resting easy now in the bed which she said feels great. Nothing like your own bed.

Before we left Somerset she wanted a Sonic ice cream, so we took care of that and she also wanted to see the traveling Vietnam wall so we went to see that for just a few minutes, then we came home.

Overall, I am most impressed with Michele's strong will to beat cancer and move on with her life. I bet before long some of you will be seeing us out for just a little bit. Thanks to you all for all the words of encouragement and good will we love you all. - Mark Hale.
