Words matter when you're trying to get help from the doctor. That was the message from Dr. Cathy Abell to those attending the caregivers group luncheon. She advised improving communication skills to get the best care. Writing down the questions and then writing down the answers will make sure you get the best possible care experience. She also said to know your medicines and why you take them, and always take all prescription medicines, over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and herbals with you to every doctors appointment. Dr. Abell will be back in Columbia in May for a class for nurses being given by the Chamber of Commerce.
