Chamber of Commerce makes request of City Council

2016-04-04 - City Hall, 116 Campbellsville Street, Columbia KY - Photo by councilmember Linda Waggener.
Chamber of Commerce President Ellen Zornes, left, came before the City Council during the time allotted for citizen comments. She requested the Council examine the idea of becoming member sponsors of the organization to help it continue. She recognized that anything the city contributes to financially must be for the good of the whole community and made reference to the Roadside Park on Hwy. 55 South, and to the annual Christmas in Columbia celebration, both clearly for the public. The idea was taken for study and a decision at the next meeting.
