Inauguration 2011: Jimmy Firquin

Former Adair County Judge and Sheriff Jimmy Firquin was in attendance at the Sunday Oath of Office Ceremony. He's now a resident of Clay Ridge in northern Adair County, a community which is now booming, according to Firquin's grandson, Deputy Coroner Mike Keltner, who took the Constitutional Oath for his post Sunday. Part of the boom was created by new homes built by Keltner and Judge Firquin. The Firquin years are remembered for the businesslike management of the office, and the budget surplus he left for his successor.
