It's time for pink Locusts to shine

Wikipedia says, "Robinia hispida, known as the bristly locust, rose-acacia, or moss locust, is a shrub in the subfamily Faboideae of the pea family Fabaceae." It is native to the southeastern United States.

Local gift package given to guest speaker

Michelle Allen, at left, the Somerset Pulaski County Tourism Director and statewide Hospitality trainer, received an all-local gift package from Adair Tourism Director Paige Nickel as the Columbia meeting came to a close. Allen was guest speaker at the first Adair County Tourism Convention and Commission's free hospitality training for community members who are in the service industry.

Mrs. Burton, an alumnus of Adair County High School, has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Lindsey Wilson College, a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University, a Master's degree in Education Administration from Eastern Kentucky University, and a National Board Certification.
