Although we didn't get to experience the blood moon of the lunar eclipse on this side of the globe tonight, the Columbia, Russell Springs and Jamestown area got a good glimpse of the full moon illuminating the few clouds that were in its path.

Today begins the week of September 8-12, 2025 designated Lindsey Wilson University Week in celebration of the school growing from college to university status. Mayor Pam Hoots announced she will interview Larry Walker, Chairman of the local Economic Development Board, who will provide statistics of the contribution the university makes on the local economy.
