Kentucky Color: Bumper Crop

2024-08-05 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Billy Joe Fudge.
Billy Joe writes, "This year is our thirty-first year at our residence in the Green Hills Community. During all those years, there have been times of wet weather, times of dry weather, late cold spring weather, early warm spring weather and every variation of summer weather one could conjure up. During those three decades there has never been a "bumper crop" of crabapples on this Ol' Crabapple in our yard like this year.

And yes, as you can see, the faulty apples falling on driveways and walkways can be a little messy this time of year but I love the mid-summer red color contrast with the nuances of summer green."
