Mayor Hoots visits LWU Girls Basketball Camp

This week, the Lindsey Wilson University Women's Basketball team hosted their 33rd annual middle school girls team camp, directed by John Wethington and Mark Fudge for Lindsey Wilson Women's Basketball. John Wethington started the camp over 35 years ago, and more than 8,000 campers from at least 4 states have participated over the years. On Thursday, July 24, 2025, Columbia Mayor Pamela Hoots visited the camp, saying, "We are proud of this event and what it brings to our community."

This event is one of the many examples of great programs in our Columbia community that draw people in and help support our thriving local economy.
