VBS at Columbia UMC celebration Thursday night

The Columbia United Methodist Church VBS grand finale is Thursday, July 18th, and will feature decorating "Happy Birthday Jesus" cakes and enjoying both wet and dry inflatables. Kyle Ballou shares they look forward to celebrating their festive "Christmas in July" theme at the Church, 202 Burkesville Street from 5-7pmCT. Everyone is welcome.

They are the children of Jes and John Aaron Conover of Columbia, among the biggest fans of the group. The Green River Band is hoping to perform at River Festivus next month but needs everyone's help by voting them tops. The top 5 bands with the most likes on Facebook will get to perform on Friday, Aug 16, 2024, in Burkesville, at the Battle of the Bands. The winner of the Battle will then get to open up for the Marshall Tucker Band on Saturday night, August 17, 2024. Learning to become future basketball stars

The Coach Deron Breeze Basketball Camp gives training to interested basketball players in grades Kindergarten-6th. This year's camp drew over 95 children, the largest number in Coach Breeze's tenure.

GRAS is looking for owner of this little baby

Green River Animal Shelter shared this photo - "This little baby is lost from her home she was said to be picked up around save-a-lot in Columbia. The man who found her took her to the dog warden's house - she is a baby.

If anyone knows her owner please call or message the shelter she will be on a 5-day stray hold - if no owner is found she will go up for adoption or rescue. 270-385-9655.
