Travel: Boyhood home of a famous outlaw
2024-07-21 - The American West - Photo by Robert Ellis, Robert Ellis Woodworking. Robert writes, "I could let Columbia Magazine readers take a guess as to what famous outlaw lived here during their boyhood years...however, since I've posted numerous photos of my recent trip to Utah, the guessing will be much easier.
This location really surprised us; we were unaware of it and pretty much happened upon it while traveling through.
Subsequent photos will reveal the outlaw, but for now, anyone care to guess how the misty/foggy, almost ghostly effect (trick photography) was accomplished in this image, and who the outlaw was?"
Use the Comment Form if you have a guess what's happening in the photo.

New lighting coming in New Columbia
2024-07-19 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Vicky Pike of Miss Vicky\'s Pampered Angus Ranch. A meeting was held to designate locations for 14 new street lights to be installed on Hwy 61 S/Burkesville Road today. Troy Kimbler, Kimbler Plumbing, was there as the contractor along with Mayor Pam Hoots, Jerry Watson, Godfrey Jackson with Taylor County RECC, Terry Moore, and others. I was there at the Mayor's request since I'm the biggest fan of the lighting project for our fast developing area of New Columbia. Thanks to her and all who are making it happen.
