Loud roar marks win for Indians

ACHS is excited to have won the first game of the season. The team is back in action this Friday against the Colonels of Caverna in the Kentucky Cooperage Bowl at Marion County High School.

Sunset over Laker Field in first game

It's Friday night football season and the Lakers and Indians played as the sun set behind the Laker stadium last week. Both teams were heavily penalized, which at different points derailed drives, called back scores, and kept the defense on the field when they should have come off.

Score was 22-16 in favor of ACHS Indians

Last Friday night Adair County High School Football defeated the Lakers of Russell County 22-16. This was the first game of the regular season for both teams.

Law enforcement partnership to assure coverage

Residents of Adair County will have added law enforcement coverage from September 1st through October 1st from the Columbia Police Department according to the agreement signed by Mayor Pam Hoots, CPD Chief Evan Burton and Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman.

From swearing in ceremony to resignation

Josh Brockman, Sheriff of Adair County, will leave office before his term ends. In his letter of resignation, he thanked his wife Amy and their three sons Leighton, Gavin, and Camden for supporting him in the long, long hours on the job and for understanding the sacrifices the job requires. MSU band wows young high school band members

The Murray State University Blue Racers Marching Band brought the crowd to their feet as they took over the Adair County Indians Football field Saturday night during the 47th Mark Twain Pre-season Exhibition.

Adair County High School Marching Band program has hosted a pre-season exhibition where area marching bands come to visit and to see how they stack up against other bands in their class before "Marching Band Season" officially kicks off. Competition begins next week.
