I've waited for someone in the Columbia Magazine family of great photographers to send a picture of that giant full moon rising Thursday evening. Since that hasn't happened I can't wait any longer to share, with apologies that it's a fuzzy phone picture, but still it shows how awesome it looked in the sky over New Columbia's Zaxby's.

Fine keepsakes like this are on every wall at the Adair County Genealogy and History Center. This is a keepsake picture of Horace Walker with what looks like a fine invention. He was founder of the tin shop occupied by members of the Cole and Burton families of Adair County, shown here with a patented tobacco setter. He also patented numerous medicines and tonics.
