Gathering at the Adair County Genealogy Center

The traditional walk from the Adair County Genealogy and History Center to the Columbia Cemetery starts with a meet up in the Center. After it ends, walkers return for refreshments and information sharing.

Columbia Pharmacy's Run for Joy

Runners prepare for the start of the 5K race that was a part of the Downtown Days Festival. Columbia Pharmacy sponsors the annual "Run for Joy". Proceeds from the race, which featured runners and walkers of all age groups, benefited J.O.Y Ministries and was well-attended this year.

Columbia Pharmacy shared a thank you message, "to all who came out to the second annual RUN FOR JOY 5K! We had a great morning of fun, fellowship, and fundraising. Congratulations to Kevin Cuin and Ireland Tweedy on their big wins!

Roldcat took this photo on October 16, 2024, just before 7pmCT. He writes, "If you look closely you can see Comet Tsuchinshan through the tons of light pollution that was around when this photo was taken from a location in Russell Springs. It was a beautiful sight to see in the early evening sky.

If you knew where to look, you could have seen it with the naked eye as well."

Robert writes, "Leaving the Columbia River Gorge area with its numerous Waterfalls, we head towards Central Oregon and the start of the high desert area. What a contrast to what we previously experienced. Our goal for today's drive would be John Day Fossil Beds National Monument...stopping of course to take images of this wind farm, an old building and a barn along the way!"
