Travel: Painted Hills at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument

We finally arrived at the Painted Hills Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. The overcast skies, which I was thankful for, brought out the vibrant colors of the hills. In this scene I was going more for an abstract by eliminating the sky altogether... it seemed to work, one of my favorites of the Oregon trip."

Kentucky Color: Leatherwood Watershed

Actually, this is looking up England Branch. Its full name would be England Branch of Leatherwood Creek and it begins some six miles up the hollow near the Toria community. The spring that is its beginning is across Chestnut Grove Road from the old Red Lick Missionary Church."

Adair Co. Bus Driver Appreciation
 2024-10-31 - Columbia, KY - Photo from Donna Grant, CDL Driver Trainer/Bus Driver. Today all Adair County School Bus Drivers were treated with a delicious breakfast, sweat shirts, and meal cards. In the photo with bus drivers and Adair County Transportation Director Steve Burton are Bank representatives Andrea Waggener and Mandy Withers.
A big thanks goes out to Bank of Columbia, Community Trust Bank, First and Farmers Bank, United Citizens Bank, and McDonald's-Columbia for their kindness and generosity today.
