Good weather for mushrooms 2024-11-22 - Central Kentucky - Photo by Pen. All the rain has caused tons of mushrooms to pop up in Central Kentucky this week. I photographed a small group of delicate white mushrooms on a foggy morning walk. I thought to revisit them in the afternoon to try for a better picture, only to find they had succumbed to the cold temperatures. Lindsey Wilson athletics gathered 438 shoeboxes comprised of toys, school supplies, clothing articles, and personal hygiene items for children in developing countries during the Christmas season. In addition, the LWC Baseball team helped load and unload over 200 cartons, making up nearly 3,500 shoebox gifts.
