OCC 2024: LWC Softball loads a truck to Charlotte
 2024-12-03 - Columbia, KY - Photo from Mark Fudge. The Lindsey Wilson College softball team finished loading OCC shoebox gifts from Adair County onto this pup trailer last week. The shoebox gifts are now on their way to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they will be processed. A total of 3,585 shoebox gifts were collected in Adair County in 2024.

OCC 2024: LWC softball loading final boxes from Hart Co.
 2024-12-03 - Columbia, KY - Photo from Mark Fudge. Students and athletes from Lindsey Wilson College helped pack and load shoebox gifts from Adair, Casey, Hart, Green and Metcalfe Counties. This group of Lindsey Wilson College softball players loaded the final cartons which were delivered from Hart County. The boxes from this area will now travel to Charlotte, North Carolina to an OCC processing center.

CACFD: Structure fire on Keltnertown Road
 2024-12-03 - Adair Co., KY - Photo from Grant Loy. The Columbia Adair County Fire Department responded to a weekend fire on Keltnertown Road. Upon arrival, firefighters found a two-story residential structure fully engulfed in flames and the structure was on the ground. Firefighters then conducted an attack on this fire which brought this fire quickly under control.

Snow flying at Walmart in Columbia
 2024-12-02 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Vicky Pike of Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch. Snow was flying at Walmart around 6pm Monday evening as shoppers raced through the cold to get stocked up and home. Temperatures were headed down to a low of 19 degrees. A chance of flurries will continue through 2am. Tuesday promises to be partly sunny with a high near 35. Tuesday night, however, we're set to drop back to a low around 19.
