Live nativity scene at Citizens Park

Bloomington Chapel Church was first to present the live nativity scene at the new Citizens Park on Burkesville Street in Columbia Friday evening. Picket's Chapel and Gradyville Baptist sang carols. This drive-through is one of two Christmas season presentations by the City of Columbia. The other is at the Industrial Park.

Helping Santa kick off Christmas in Columbia

Christmas in Columbia kicked off with Santa Claus for children visiting the historic Trabue Russell House Saturday morning. Behind St. Nick are volunteers Chuck Rogers, Mayor Pam Hoots, and Bobby Lee.

Christmas program presented by the youth Sunday

Sunday's service at Columbia United Methodist Church belonged to the youth under the direction of Kyle and Leah Ballou. In this group of singers are, from left: Dori Ann Ballou, Dani Chamness, Gunnar Chamness, Holly Ballou, Jack Corbin, Charlie Coomer, Claire Furkin, Kylea Ballou, Reese Corbin, Zaida Boatright and Raegann Stephens.
