The Old Kentucky State Capitol Building

The Kentucky General Assembly will celebrate the rich history of the legislature on February 11, 2025, by convening for a day in the Old State Capitol building.

Inside the Metcalfe County History Museum

This is one of the rooms inside the Metcalfe County History Museum featuring quilts, pictures, drawings and posters from past events plus tools and more. Edmonton Quartet keepsake photo from 1970s

The long playing record in the Metcalfe County History Museum is of the Edmonton Quartet from the 1970s and features Tommy Shirley, Larry Cooksey, Tammi Lynn Kidd, Wayne Sexton, Jimmy McCubbins, and John McCubbins.

Heated bowls helped in the snow and ice
 2025-02-05 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Donna Rieder. Farming has been much better in the warmer temps, but Donna Rieder said her Clifty Creek chickens were able to eat and drink through the end of January freeze because she has heated bowls. Long range weather predictors suggest winter 2025 is not through with snow and ice yet so they will still be handy.
