Gifted and Talented students at Idea Festival
 2025-02-25 - Bowling Green, KY - Photo courtesy Candice Flatt. The gifted and talented students from Mrs. Candice Flatt's class went to the Idea Festival in Bowling Green, Kentucky today, Tuesday, February 25, 2025. This festival showcases young leaders and their creativity.
Among those attending were Sixth Graders Cyndi Case, Anne-Riley Corbin, Jackson Corbin, Reece Corbin, Emmett Davenport, Eli Iqbal, Myles Spoon, Mia Stephens, Izabella Stubbs, Millie Thompson, Greyson Wells, and Greyson Wood, Seventh Graders Bowen Furkin, Harper Hadley, Ila Loy, Jaspar Stockton, and Dustin Story, and Eighth Graders Emma Burton, Elaine Cook, Chase Hutcheson, William Reynolds, Pierce Stotts, and Maddie Wethington.
Other students include: Delcie Burton, Chluey Acanta, Addie Mcminoway, Seth Murphy, and Emily Smith. Adults pictured: Candice Flatt and Sarah Hatton. Not pictured: Beth Wethington and Kayla Stockton.

LWC Business Professor JC Phelps
 2025-02-25 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Lindsey Wilson College. Lindsey Wilson College business professor JC Phelps has been named a faculty member in the Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program. Phelps, who attended the program in 2011 as a rising high school senior at Russell County High School, will teach classes in the Business, Accounting and Entrepreneurship Focus Area. He will also lead a general studies course and co-lead a leadership seminar.
